Takach Paper — Paper at its Finest
Some people may find it hard to believe but the truth is that not all papers are created equal. Through its quality, once can actually tell when it is made with passion, when it is made with love. Of course, the first thing that you need to check is whether or not it serves its purpose. You may say that paper is made for people to write on it but paper has a lot of other purposes too. But first, how did paper actually came about?
The History of Paper
Even before paper was made, people from different parts of the world communicate through writing and drawing. Instead of paper, they wrote, or perhaps more appropriately, carved their symbols and drawings on stones, on walls of caves, on bones, and even on clay tablets that they have also created. Then, China came up with something brilliant to write on which was cloth sheets.
Next to the cloth sheets, China also created paper. One of China’s court officials named Ts’ai Lun finally discovered the formula and mixed hemp, rags, and mulberry bark with some water. He mashed them altogether into a pulp, drained the water, and hung it under the sun to dry and there, paper was born.
In the 8th century, the Muslims discovered this process and they took over a Chinese paper mill. As the Muslims invade territories, they finally came to Europe and there in Spain, they finally built a paper mill. After that, other paper mills were built and paper production consistently grew until England was recognized as the biggest paper producer in the 15th century.
